ABOUT ME
As a child, I valued the amazing conversations I had with my mom, “talking things out.” What did we talk about? Anything and everything! These conversations gave me a solid foundation for how to make good decisions in my life. Little did I know then that God had gifted me to do for others what my mom did for me. It’s the spiritual gift of exhortation.
I see how I have used my gift throughout my life and career. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior in 1996, and with a long career in people management, I’ve walked alongside hundreds of people and helped them successfully navigate various personal and work situations. As a Christian lay counselor, I play an essential role in the transformational work God does with those who bravely step out in faith to align their lives with Him.
When you choose me as your coach, you set the goals, and I help you achieve them. I love that! I walk alongside you every step of the way, encourage you with God’s love, and challenge you with God’s truth. You can be confident that I’m asking God to coach me as I’m coaching you! Favorite Things I Love
- Singing to Christian music. It fills and soothes my soul.
- I love seeing God restore people and relationships. It keeps me in awe of Him.
- I love walking for exercise and driving my car. God and I have had many important conversations in these spaces. It keeps me connected to Him.
- I love images and messages that provoke thought and inspire me to be better. They bring me hope.
- I love those “aha” moments when God helps me understand Him and life. They bring me peace.
Facts About Me
I am committed to my family! I’ve been married for 43 years. I raised two boys to be incredible, loving men, and I have twin granddaughters.
I am patient! God placed the desire to leave my hometown of Baltimore, MD, when I was fourteen. I didn’t think it would ever happen, but thirty-four years later, God said it was time to go to California!
I trust God when I can’t see my way! In 2012, I took on the responsibility of caring for my mom when she became ill. I didn’t know how to be a caregiver or support her financially, but God equipped me and provided for her.
My spiritual gift is exhortation! This gift enables a person to bring others to spiritual maturity. Exhortation is walking alongside and moving people forward. I see this in how I counsel and coach people and advice companies.
