You Don’t Have to be Great to Start, But You Do Have to Start to Be Great

I can't believe it's been a year since I posted on this site. I had such high expectations of building content and evolving this site into a robust discussion and inspiration. What happened? Honestly, I got scared. I started to doubt myself and I allowed myself to be "too busy" to continue to learn the technology and write.  Sad that I let my doubts get the best of me and that I lost opportunities God put in front of me!

A friend told me 15 years ago when I expressed the dream to write, "You don't need to be great to start, but you do need to start to be great." So true! So, here it is a year later and I am taking little steps to move toward my dream. I have posted content to a small group of friends and on my personal Facebook page for the past 2 weeks.  YAY! Now, I am moving that content to my blog and I am building a Clarity and Wisdom. 

Here's the deal: I need to do this because God told me to do this years ago. He is so patient with me. I can't make this about me because then I won't do it. What does He want to do through me? That needs to be my focus. I don't know if this will have an audience, but the most important audience is God. He will be the audience I play to.

So, here I go! I know that what I start posting will change over time as I become more comfortable with the technology and I allow myself to grow in this writing space. I am not perfect and it's really cool not to be. I am who I am and who I am becoming!

Stay tuned and thanks for being on the journey with me. God gives us peace when we are in alignment with Him. His peace is all the greatness I need!

UPDATE October 2018:

I have been doing daily motivationals that I call "Godfirmations" since August 2015. I have been faithful in listening God and writing what puts on my heart. I don't write them in advance, I write them when he gives them to me.

I've posted them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and I send them to a list of friends through texts and emails. I'm putting them out in the universe and asking God to take them to whoever needs them. That's my measure of success.

Now, I'm relaunching my website and will be posting blogs and videos on a regular basis, because this is the work God has given me to do and I am committed to be obedient. I want what He wants for me!
